It's the translation of the comment I posted under the video TOP13 2025 - Najbardziej oczekiwane gry niezależne 2026 roku! (TOP13 2025 - The most anticipated indie games of 2026!). The copy of the original message (in Polish) here.

For the context, this guy makes a few lists at the end of each year: indie games that he is waiting for, the best games that he played the last year and a lists of the best and most disappointing games that he has played on his channel, according to his viewers.

I'm waiting for two games from your list – PVKK and House 2. The rest didn't really catch my attention, but it's happened to me several times that after watching your gameplays, something that wasn't on my radar, ended up in my Steam cart, so who knows, maybe I will surprise myself again xD

41:43 Oh wow, The Last Night. I already forgot about it years ago. I also see that you have Memory of a Broken Dimension on your Steam wishlist. Sigh, as a fan of more experimental indie games from itch.io, I will say that when I see a title on that site labeled as "prototype," "demo," or "alpha," I automatically assume that the version I'm playing is the final build we will ever get. And unfortunately from what I have seen, it looks like the developer abandoned this project :/

I will also add my list:

Honorable Mentions (games I can't say anything meaningful about, but they look cool): Chop Chains, GARBAGE COUNTRY, SECTOR ZERO, Vending Machine Co. + I added BLOK, Locator, and Screenbound from your wishlist.

6th: Paralives by Alex Massé and team

As someone who can easily count the time spent across all main Sims games in four-digit hours, I can't wait for this project. BUT unfortunately, the development process doesn't fill me with optimism. About a month before the Early Access release, they pushed it back by six months because basically, only after the (very) negative reaction, from the community, to what they showed on the livestream for supporters, made the developers realize that releasing a game with virtually no gameplay was a pretty bad idea x'D But I'm not surprised, because in the development videos and posts, they constantly focused on showing off new models, furniture, animations, music, etc., while very little was said about actual gameplay.

I'm still rooting for this project, but at this stage with a dose of skepticism. I just want this game to be good – anything beyond that will be a nice surprise.

5th: Trees Hate You by Tykenn

The demo was frustrating, but in a fun way xD, because I was constantly curious about what trap the developer would surprise me with next. I would compare it to Level Devil.

4th: Mallory and the Marble Sanctum by Ivan Khoroshev

The demo, which was about exploring the main character's dream, was very intriguing to me, but the annouced full version, doesn't seems to happen. Last time I checked the developer's Twitter, I saw they were working on a completely different game :/

3rd: Solarpunk by Cyberwave

Planet Crafter (I spend more than 70 hours recently in this game) awakened in me a hunger for a base-building games where I don't have to be afraid, like in Subnautica, that some monster will devour me xD

2nd: Lands of XON by imagoFX

Years ago I played the original tetralogy (released on Android) of fairly simple but very enjoyable logic games set in an open, three-dimensional environment. A demo came out last year and it was exactly what I was hoping for (the formula I knew and liked, but no longer held back by mobile platform limitations), so I'm waiting.

1st: Vampire Crawlers by poncle

A game from the creators of Vampire Survivors, but this time in the form of a deck-builder. Not my genre, but I trust these developers because every update or DLC for VS gives me several to a dozen-plus hours of fun, and the trailer they released completely sold me on the idea.
